To be honest, I kept thinking all week "what can I do for myself this week?"
It wasn't much but one night while watching TV, I decided it was time to get a manicure. So, I grabbed my clippers, my nail filer and my clear nail polish and gave myself a manicure. The kids were in bed and it was nice and peaceful. My nails are very weak from YEARS of getting acrylics put on them and so after almost a year or 2 of no acrylics, they are getting stronger. All 10 of my nails were FINALLY strong enough and LONG enough that it was time to give them a trim. They were so long I wouldn't be shocked if they would break any time soon. Therefore, they got trimmed about as short as most get theirs cut back when they get acrylics. I even put a top coat on them to look nice and shiny!
Also, this week (well today) I went to the store and bought me some hair color. I used to get my hair done once a month or so and my hair girl moved far away. Therefore, I am stuck with Clairol Nice N Easy box color. It lasts 8 weeks at least so, hey, it works for me. It is "Natural Dark Caramel" same as I colored it before Thanksgiving. I will have to wait until tomorrow or Sunday to color it as I just showered and shampooed my hair today. But at least I got hair color so I can pamper my hair.
Now It's Your Turn!
What did you do to get your groove back this week?
