Truly a Fairy Tale

Did you wake up super early to watch the most romantic wedding ever? You know, the Royal Wedding between Catherine and William.
I am raising my hand. I set my alarm for 3:30am and flipped the channel to E!
I missed the Beckhams' arrival but saw Sir Elton John's arrival. It was such a great moment for me to see him there as he was a great friend of Princess Diana.
I was anxious to see the dress but I was truly more interested in watching the vows and to s
listen in if Catherine butchered William's name. She did not. You go girl! 4 names thrown in with nerves and anxiety can really mess you up.
Catherine looked beautiful and classy and very modest yet elegant in what I would say is a Grace Kelly look-a-like dress. I would've imagined her more in a form fitting gown with trumpet lace sleeves and a mermaid type bottom half. Either way she was beautiful!
Princes William and Harry both looked very dapper in their military colors. I have to say I stood up in my living room when the Arch Bishop of Canterbury stated "does anyone have any reason these 2 aha,l not be married" (or whatever lol) and said "yes, me!" I was broken hearted to here he would be married but very happy by the end of the wedding. They truly are in love and are a very beautiful couple.
I want to close this by congratulating the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge on their wedding and MANY years of happiness.

Blogging From Phone

Hello fellow blowers/readers
I haven't posted in a while due to no internet. Yes, we haven't paid the bill but it started out with bad winds and rain so we decided we are going to switch providers.
I had a wonderful easter with my family at my mother's house. I found out that I don't just sound like y mother, apparently I dress like her too. We both went to Kohls and bought the same skirt. If you want to get technical, I bought my skirt before she bought hers.
I will have to add picture when I have internet a itsnot letting me add from phone.

I got news yesterday I will be directing the older group at church camp again this summer. I'm very excited for that! We didn't think there would be a camp this summer.

I am dog sitting for my cousin for 5 days so I will be tending to a very hyper Jack Russell. Will blog more when I can.

Is That My Lung On The Floor There???

Bronchitis
Inflammation - bronchi; Acute bronchitis

Bronchitis is inflammation of the main air passages to the lungs. Bronchitis may be short-lived (acute) or chronic, meaning that it lasts a long time and often recurs.

Bronchospasm or a bronchial spasm is a sudden constriction of the muscles in the walls of the bronchioles. It is caused by the release of substances from mast cells or basophils under the influence of anaphylatoxins. It causes difficulty in breathing which can be very mild to severe.

Asthma
Bronchial asthma; Exercise-induced asthma

Asthma is an inflammatory disorder of the airways, which causes attacks of wheezing, shortness of breath, chest tightness, and coughing.

Welcome to my world of lung issues. I possibly don't think I can think of ANYONE with worse lung issues than me except someone who has smoked EVERY DAY in their entire life or someone with lung cancer.

This whole week has been filled with coughing. The only good I can find out of all this coughing is that I am working my obliques and my abs. The bad part is, it gives me a headache, hurts my ribs, hurts my hips/pelvis, hurts my back and definitely hurts my throat.

Recently my 4 yr old was diagnosed with Strep so I am HOPING I did not catch that as I have gone an entire week without antibiotics hence slowing down the healing process.

I have coughed so much I sometimes make a joke "oh, there goes my lung". This is miserable and I wish this upon no one. It is doubly irritating knowing Easter is just a few days away and we are having a big get together at my mother's Sunday to do some Easter egg hunting, eating (lots of that), picture taking (with me behind the camera and maybe a few in front of it) as well as just hanging out and having fun with lots of laughs!

I will be heading to the doctor tomorrow on pay day so I can figure out what is wrong with me and how I can fix it all. I am ready for all this sickness to go away.

Due to the fact I have been so sick lately, there will be no "Me! Challenge" post this week because I have not done ANYTHING for myself this week except TRY to sleep (hasn't been working for me) and watching lots of TV.

I hope everyone has a fun and safe Easter!

Meet Me on Monday

Questions:

1.  Caesar Salad or Garden Salad?
2.  Will you be watching the Royal Wedding on April 29th?
3.  Last thing you spent lots of money on?
4.  Window seat or aisle seat?
5.  Do you know your blood type?
---------------------------------------------------------------
My Answers!

1.  Caesar Salad or Garden Salad?
Definitely Caesar Salad. Especially Spaghetti Warehouse's salad. Yummy!!!

2. Will you be watching the Royal Wedding on April 29?
Heck ya. If I was invited, I would be the chick running down the aisle screaming "DON'T DO IT" ha ha. That is MY prince and I have to watch him being snatched away by someone else. Oh well.

3. Last thing you spent lots of money on?
My new cell phone that actually is a piece of crap. The battery gets too hot and it drains REALLY fast. Already exchanged it once so I will soon be returning and getting a COMPLETELY different one.

4. Window seat or aisle seat?
If we are talking planes, definitely aisle seat. I cannot stand flying and prefer not to look out the window that high up!

5. Do you know your blood type?
I have given blood many times and almost needed it once so yes, I know my blood type.

Me! Challenge: Week 15

What did I do for myself this week? Absolutely nothing. At least not that I recall.

My week was as follows:

Tuesday: Moya (our black lab) was put down and I went to the shelter alone to pick up her collar. A friend/coworker passed away. Also, lil man started to claim he was not feeling well.

Wednesday: Took lil man to doctor to find out he has strep and then he got a shot.

Thursday: Exchanged my brand new phone for a new phone...same one as battery was getting hot. Feel I have to exchange it again.

Today: Only had 2 cups of coffee and no shower yet.

I need to do something for myself. Bleh! It's one of THOSE weeks.

So Numb

I received a phone call about 10:20am saying "Everything went well and you can come pick up her collar". If you have read my previous post about our baby girl Moya you will know what happened. If not, click the link, take a read and you will be up to date. We thought we would be able to bring her home to adopt her out but since it was a bite to a child, the state had her as it's property and registered her as a dangerous dog. They euthanised her this morning. I wanted her collar so they made note to call me when it was all said and done. My question is, how does a euthanasia "go well"? It only goes one way.

I have been so numb. I cry but yet no tears fall. I want to cry but can't because I don't want my son to see me this way. It is too hard to explain that the doggy won't be come back home "ever more" (as he says) and the reason why.

I will grieve her in silence, I will remember her as the good girl that she was and I will miss her deeply.

Rockin' Surprise Party

I now have a 16 yr old in the house. My step son turned 16 this past Thursday but I have been working hard the past week or 2 in trying to plan a surprise party. He enjoyed it as well as everyone else.
We centered everything around Guitar Hero and Rock n Roll theme. Even his cake looked like his own electric guitar. It was awesome.
We all traded turns in playing Guitar Hero and we are still playing it this morning!
He ended up getting the Guitar Hero bundle (drums and guitar) with the games: Guitar Hero: 5, Guitar Hero: World Tour, Guitar Hero: Aerosmith, and Guitar Hero: Metallica.

The Guitar Hero set and gifts
The cake made by The Jenny Layne Bakery
A bit dark but this is when we all screamed "SURPRISE"

Step son with this guitar hero bundle
Before lighting the candles
He was concentrating on the notes!

It was a blast and Im glad we were able to keep it from him!

Me! Challenge: Week 14

I started my new job this week----boring really but I am sure it will get better when I start to actually get behind the camera (I'm working as a studio photographer).

Also, I got a new phone FINALLY. I got the one I have been eyeballing for the past 2 months or so. I am having so much fun playing around on it and playing "Bubble Buster" and "Words With Friends". Even my 4 yr old is having fun playing with it.

We got my 4 yr old registered for Kindergarten this week. It is so exciting. I can't really say that is "me" time but it will give me LOTS of me time so I think it counts

Meet Me On Monday

Questions:

1.  If you had to eat only one food for the rest of your life, what would it be?
2.  Do you write your blog posts in advance or the day you post them?
3.  Have you ever ridden in an ambulance?
4.  What is your favorite candle scent?
5.  Coffee or tea?
---------------------------------------------------------------
My Answers!

1.  If you had to eat only one food for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Java said she could live off of bread but I'm sorry, I couldn't do it as I did that for almost a week when I got my wisdom teeth out and I was TIRED of bread.
I would have to say that I would want to eat chocolate covered pretzels. I love pretzels but I love chocolate and I would have to have them together!!

2. Do you write your blog posts in advance or the day you post them?
If I am not busy on Mondays, I will write my blog that day. If I know I will be busy or forget about it, I will write it on Sunday (if it is posted on the host site then) and then just schedule it to post Monday sometime. I like to be early on everything though

3. Have you ever ridden in an ambulance?
No and I want to put this on record that I hope it stays that way

4. What is your favorite candle scent?
Black Cherry. I buy it every time I get candles.

5. Coffee or tea?
Tea....nope...sweet tea. Once I get a glass of that, I have to keep drinking it all day!

Things I've Been Meaning To Do

I'm A Lazy Mom is at it again with her "Things I've Been Meaning To Do" linky blog hop fun. EXCEPT...this time she is doing it every first Monday of the month.
I will only post my upstairs things I've been meaning to do as the upstairs gets neglected quite a bit because it is not seen by guests! Isn't that the way to do it though?? Don't shove it in a closet. Don't shove it under the bed. Just shove it upstairs where no one will see it!

1. Clean off my office desk
I have a water bottle that has been sitting there since BEFORE Spring Break along with 2 glasses. One was from today's iced tea that I just finished before typing this blog and the other was earlier this past weekend that just had water in it. I also have my business cards still in a box, some discs that need organized and put away, a hard drive that needs plugged back in and moved off the desk along with a notebook that just needs to be placed in the drawer when not in use.
Notice, I'm A Lazy Mom's blog is up on the computer. No...I'm not a stalker so hush it!!!!

2. Take this paper shredder and chunk it
It has not been working since we pretty much got it from a friend. Brand new, too! I think someone (not me so stop pointing fingers) shoved a few too many papers in at once and bent the shredder teeth so it wont shred anymore. Also the discs next to it are all hubby's that were the office closet that need to go on his desk. Also the PVC pipes in the back behind the door go to my home made back drop stand (for photography) that I don't use anymore that just need to be taken into the garage.

3. Put my un-played guitar away
My step dad got me this guitar for my 16th birthday as I always had this dream of being a country singer...still do in a way! BUT....my pinky is too short to reach most chords so it has not been played much. It is just a dust/scratch collector and so I have it sitting by the stairs so I can take down to my bedroom closet each time I leave my office BUT.....it just sits there. Still haven't moved it in weeks.

4. Take broom downstairs and take the angel to the "Christmas Storage Closet".
Why there is a broom upstairs when it is all carpeted....I do not know! That is a mystery that will not be answered by me! Also why it is in a box...I do not know. Oh look there, the phone that was on the stairs from my previous "Things I've Been Meaning to Do" post has moved from the stairs to the banister upstairs. Ha! At least it isn't on the stairs anymore!

This is so much fun and shows we all have clutter somewhere and have been meaning to do something sometime or another so join in the fun!!!

She is Coming Home

I know this is a song for our troops but it was perfect for the occasion. We are bringing home Moya tomorrow

(The black lab/pointer in front)

I found her papers for her shot records so we are able to bring her home until we can adopt her out to another family with older kids or no kids at all.

I am OVER the moon KNOWING that I rescued her at 4 months old and now at 7 yrs old (her birthday was last month) I can rescue her again!!!! I am so happy!!!!!

Saying Goodbye Is Hard To Do

Yesterday I made one of the quickest but hardest decisions I have ever made in my entire life (so far).
We said goodbye to our baby girl, Moya

I won't get into details but I will just say she has nipped my lil guy more than once and bit him maybe twice since we have lived in this house (last 2 yrs). Well, this time it was the last time as it was also the worse.

As a mother, I made the decision to call the Animal Control of our town and take her away. We will have 10 days and then she will be humanely euthanized. We will miss you baby girl.
I rescued her when she was 4 months old from euthanization as she had been in the shelter for most her puppy life. I have to remind myself my son is more important than a dog and that I at least gave her almost 6 years of life with a happy family.
