ME! Challenge Week 1: Workout/Girls Night

Life Not Finished is hosting this challenge so crawl on over to check her out and hop along with us.

Here is my ME! Challenge for this week.

If you have been reading the blog, you know that I lost my job before Christmas. We all know that if you obtain a job...especially a retail job, you seem to lose weight faster because you are always on your feet and always on the go. Well, I lost around 12 lbs while working for 4 months at the place I was working at.
4 days before Christmas, I lost my job. I am not naturally a depressive person but since losing my job and staying home I have gotten...........I hate to say it.........BORED. Yes, I said it. I am a stay at home mom a smart and funny, active 4 yr old boy and yet I am bored. I feel like a bad mom for saying that.
Either way, being bored, I tend to eat out of boredom. I have yet to gain a lot of weight or much weight back...maybe only a couple of pounds, but I can feel it and see it.
Therefore, I wanted something to keep me motivated and not depressed-full of energy.
I went and bought the Wii Jillian Michael's Fitness Ultimatum 2010 and I worked my LEGS (not my butt) off yesterday. After an hour of workout, I treated myself to a "girls' night" out with my friend Katie.
After some much wasted time at the Walmart Customer Service Return, we drove to Michael's craft store where she splurged on an "Owls Always Love You" stamp (let's all AWWWWW) while I splurged on a journal (yes, I know I blog) as well as a Connect Four game for my 4 yr old and a Sand Art kit as well as for my 4 yr old. I know it is 52 weeks of ME! Challenge and those last 2 were for my son, but in a way they were also for me to bond closer to my son and stay active with him.

 Now it's your turn!
What did you do to get your groove back this week?

It sounds like you had a great time with your friend. I'm glad that you are motivated to be active again, it can be very boring staying at home with kids. Fun, exhausting and boring all at the same time. :)
